54 Days Down

Beginning the Monday after Thanksgiving, Ryan and I started doing the Keto diet and saw some really crazy amazing results. I'm talking 15 pounds dropped in a matter of weeks. It fell off like melting butta'. And then Christmas happened and it all went down the tube. It's really hard to keep to a strict diet around the holidays and we gained everything we'd lost in 3 weeks back in about 2 weeks due to some pretty poor choices on our parts. So I choose to tell people that my weight loss journey started on January 2nd, 2019. A lot of women don't like to discuss their weight but I'm going to be transparent with y'all and tell you that I started at 274 pounds, which is the heaviest I have ever been.  I'm honestly not sure what went off in my brain to finally push me to make the change back in November. 50 Shades of Truth

I actually wrote this four years ago when this movie came out but never published it. I’m not really sure why I didn’t publish it, but as I reread it today I realized just how relevant it still is. There have since been several sequels and countless other productions in our culture that reflect the same attitude toward sex. I hope you hear my heart in this, because that has not changed. Love to all. So "50 Shades of Grey" came out on the big screen today. And my Facebook has blown up about it. On one hand, I've got friends who were eagerly awaiting it's release. On another are my Christian friends who are unabashadly proclaiming it's poisonous nature (with which I am in total agreement with).
